Potomac

Potomac families have a dental home close by at Mazza Center for Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry. Our office is in downtown Bethesda, about seven and a half miles from Potomac Village. We provide general and family dentistry alongside cosmetic and implant care. Care ranges from a routine cleaning and exam to a complete smile makeover.

Family care starts with prevention. Routine exams and cleanings keep teeth and gums healthy. The ADA recommends a dental visit at least once every six months. Each patient receives a plan that fits their needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Busy Potomac households need flexible scheduling. Our doors open at 7:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM, with Saturday hours available. Emergency appointments are there when someone needs care quickly. Because several phases of treatment happen in our office, your family keeps the same team.

Care should fit a family budget as well. We offer payment plans, and our financial solutions page explains the options. Our dental blog shares oral health guidance between visits. You can also meet our dentists before you come in.

The drive from Potomac usually takes 20 to 25 minutes, and free parking is available. Reach us at 301.321.7950, or book your appointment online for the whole family. Our team looks forward to welcoming your family.

Potomac, MD: A Green Village Beside the River

Potomac takes its name from the Potomac River, which borders the area on the south. The 2020 Census recorded roughly 47,000 residents spread across 25 square miles. County government reaches Potomac through a regional services center in Bethesda. Potomac Village, at the crossing of Falls Road and River Road, is the local focal point and main commercial center.

County planners treat the area as a low-density green wedge under a master plan adopted in 2002. Two-lane roads and nine designated rustic roads preserve a semi-rural feel. An equestrian and trail-riding tradition remains part of local life. Winston Churchill High School and the Bullis School are among the local schools.

The outdoors are the main attraction. The Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center welcomes visitors to the C&O Canal National Historical Park, a National Park Service site. The Billy Goat Trail runs nearby in three sections, labeled A, B, and C. Rockwood Manor Park, once a national Girl Scout camp, now hosts events and retreats.

Art and golf draw visitors as well. Glenstone Museum on Glen Road offers free admission, with visits scheduled in advance. TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, a private club, hosted the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship. Falls Road Golf Course, a public course, has welcomed golfers since it opened in 1961.

Local traditions bring neighbors together. The Potomac Chamber of Commerce organizes Potomac Day each October. The Potomac Village Farmers Market runs on Thursdays from May to November at Potomac United Methodist Church. The Scotland community hosts a Juneteenth Heritage Festival every June 19.
